Willa is a 7 year old mare. Sired by Marnix out of an Astrix I-39, Sterhengst, Preferente hengst, Keurhengst daughter Gozina. Willa is the full sister of Mary Kint's Tunix featured in an NFHR Herald article last fall. Willa is a classic old fashioned type Fjord. She has a beautiful head like her dam's and is a correct mover. She has a great walk and shows good lengthening of stride at the trot. She has been back under saddle since April of this year, 2008. She is much more accepting of the bit, understands the half halt and her canter is improving on the dirt roads especially uphill which will build a nice strong hind end. She has been ridden off the farm alone and around our short loop where she has encountered dogs, cars, sheep, cows and other scary stuff found in the real world. Her price will go up with more training (especially if I get around to breaking her to drive) but for someone whose been wanting a Fjord but can't afford a more finished pony and has the skill to take her along this is the perfect pony for you. Or you can buy her and keep her here for more training and lessons for you. She has a terrific pedigree and has the potential to make nice babies. UTD, good for the farrier, clips and bathes.
